Mexico 2012

Playa Del carmen

6 o’clock and I hear Helene and Raphael leave their room for Belize. The weather seemed a little more scattered. We had the nostalgia of leaving that place. At 11.30, we kissed our French friends goodbye and headed to Playa Del Carmen.

The town is bigger than expected and as touristic and European minded as expected.

The beach isn’t as good as in Tulum. It seems to be a great place for shopping and resorts are nearby on the main road.

In the center, we entered a real estate agency and met a girl from the Netherlands. We asked for houses price range and she gently let us visit 3 residential houses. Now we now what to expect and it made us quite happy.

We headed afterwards to Puerto Morelos, a fisherman s village. It surely looks better on the official website. Before the sunset, we went back to Playa and found a hostel. We checked-in and went for a last walk. As it started to rain, we stopped at a taqueria for 2 burritos and went back to the hostel and spent the evening on the internet, sharing and uploading photos and updating our diary.

We planned to stay overnight so we could head to the immigration office on the next day and get some information. We also planned to do some shopping and go back to our so missed paradise.
